Spring Cleaning!
With help from our free laborer---our grandson, Camron.
For some reason he thinks this is fun.
We cleaned and moved the dog pen area. (We lost poor old Monroe this winter), so now the garden area will be enlarged. It looks funny to me.
Because last year, it looked like this..click here.
I am going to try to have a compost pile this year. Or... I'm going to look into it anyway.
This new look in the side yard, is forgien to me. I have to plan out my garden and decide what I'm going to do now.
It's a whole new lay-out.
So much work - good Camron was there to help! I've got to make a garden plot on paper, too, but we still have time as we can't plant anything until May 30 :(
ReplyDeleteI too was "playing" in the yard. I sure wish my grandson was around to "play" too:) It doesn't look like my hollyhocks are going to make it this year:( Yours seem to be doing just fine:) I do see other signs of life though and my scented geraniums throw a temper tantrum when I bring them back in the house each day.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about composting this year too. I had an organic vegetable garden when the kids were young and although a lot of work, quite gratifying. Now, I just want to compost for my flower garden. Have you seen the Sunset Magazine Plant Finder website. I've heard its quite easy and good for planning. It may help with that new tapestry you have to fill.
Thanks for sharing Debbie, and thank you so much for your kind words on my blog...
Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteI love your yard! I also like the yard art. Your grandson looks so sweet doing all that work. I hope he continues to like to garden. I'm sorry for the loss of your dog.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I have the second part of the kitchen remodel up.
