I was gone for a couple of weeks and The Handyman took the pics for me.

What a difference a week makes!

It is definitely fall. 

I like the word autumn.  Why don't we use the word autumn very often?

Autumn has come to my big backyard.

Big Backyard week, #8

We are hosting "Wiener-Fest" tonight  (a hot dog and beer party) and The Handyman decided to put some Halloween decor in the backyard.

Still no leaves changing color. 

My Big Backyard week #7

And Fall begins...

The weather changed fast.

As we knew it would.

We don't get much color in Nevada.   Fall color that is, but the leaves have begun to fall a little.

An adventure

We brought our 4 legged friend Sierra Noble home for a visit. (her family has left her for over a week and she is very lonely)  She is so excited, I can't get her to sit still for a photo op!

She was helping The Handyman blow leaves down from the rocks and then do some weed eating.  Running thru the leaves YAY!!

The Handyman is mowing the lawn now and I have the back door open and she is going in and out in and out.  Keeping up with him and getting some pets from me.

She's having a sleep over tonight.   She loves us as she thinks her family deserted her.

I kinda like this 'rent a dog' thing.

A Year in My Big Backyard--Week #6

When it happens----the change in weather, its going to happen fast.

And then you're in for some long (very long) winter pictures of my big back yard.

Northern Nevada is  not very pretty in the winter.

Fall and summer, yes.  Spring too, but winter?  Just you wait and see.
